I was inspired by Jane today to make a couple of pretty mosaics. The first shows some of my work and the second is some garden inspiration mainly from my parents garden apart from the bottom right corner which is one of three lovely lanterns we were given last year as an engagement present. Click on each mosaic for a much better view, especially of the garden images. Mum and Dads gorgeous house and garden are currently for sale so we may not be able to enjoy the garden much longer but I have no doubt that Mum will make an equally pretty garden in their new home. Hope you're all enjoying a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.

Spring has sprung!
There's been some fluttery activity in the studio this week. Eggs have been hatching and these cute felty birdies have appeared. They're all looking for new nests and will be appearing in my etsy shop throughout today.

I might keep this one myself
I made this cushion yesterday afternoon to put in the shop but I think I have fallen for it myself. I've had the fabric a long time and the plan was to make a new curtain in our hall with it but plans have now changed because I sat the cushion on the sofa after I had photographed it outside and it looke gorgeous. So plans have changed. I need new fabric for the hall and the this fabric has now become, as well as this cushion, a new tablecloth(we have a combined dining/sitting room) and will be two or three big squishing cushions for the sofa.
So I'm still selling this one. It's in my Misi shop now waiting for a good home.

From my Inspiration Files
I love my magazines but with a small home I can't keep them all so regularly go through them cutting out the best bits and re-cycling the rest. I used to put the cut out sheets into plastic sleeves in ring binders but lately I have been glueing the best bits into scrap books and creating my own lovely inspiration journal. I think I now have around 10 ring binders and so far 5 scrap books. I love looking back over them for inspiration both for my work and our home. I thought I'd share a few pages today. The majority of the images come from Country Living Magazine with possibly a few others from Country Homes & Interiors or Homes & Gardens.
